It's from the Fishs Eddy Brooklynese collection. I think it goes without saying that it was meant to be in my Brooklyn kitchen cupboard.
After leaving the boys situated with a sitter last night, I rode the train into Manhattan to meet Blake in the park after work. Our first stop of the evening was dinner at my favorite city cafe, Penelope. Though the entire menu looks delicious, we ordered the same thing we always do: the BBLT sandwich with the warm spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer. And oh, that dip. If heaven comes served on artisan bread, this just might be it.
We walked off the part of our meal that we probably should have just taken home to eat later in Fishs Eddy, and then it was time to head over to the Shake Shack for dessert. We spent almost an entire hour standing in line waiting to order and receive our black and white milkshakes, but they were worth the wait. I was apparently too bored standing in line to take my own picture of it, but the photo below, courtesy of Gothamist, gives you a pretty good idea.

This morning we left the boys with another gracious sitter while we went to do a session in the Manhattan temple.
It was lovely and peaceful, and the perfect way to celebrate our five years of marriage.

Love that black and white sugar bowl. I'm considering purchasing it too.
Happy anniversary. What a nice evening and subsequent morning out!
It thrills me to no end to see these places I've been to. Including Fishs Eddy. But Penelope I have not seen. I guess I need to come back and visit again. ;)
