easter in the garden state

Easter this year was spent in New Jersey. We rode the train into Princeton Saturday morning to spend the day at the home of Heather (my cousin) and Brian, and their children, Rees and Lucy, along with Joel and Colleen (Heather's parents and my aunt and uncle). In between sessions of General Conference, we colored Easter eggs, hid them and hunted for them, jumped on the trampoline and played in the sandbox, and walked through a nearby 18th century cemetery.

Near the end of the second session, we drove up to Kinnelon with Joel and Colleen to spend the night at their home. Brian and Heather and gang joined us in the morning just in time for a visit from our family's personal Easter bunny, the Wiester Bunny. Sunday was spent feasting (both on a delicious Easter dinner as well as chocolate and jelly beans), watching more Conference, and enjoying a beautiful day together, both indoors and out.

After Conference was over, we took a bus back to the Port Authority, then took the subway back to Brooklyn. It was a fun, and, more importantly, family filled weekend. Thanks to all of our New Jersey folk for your hospitality!
