Behold, the potty training arsenal: potty chair, training doll, lots of underwear, tasty drinks, delicious treats, and a list of all of his heroes who will be so proud of him when he keeps his pants dry (not pictured, but includes people like Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Woody and Buzz, and Elmo).
I have been dreading this day since he was born, but it's time. Wish us luck.

I have to be honest, I am already dreading that and I have yet to change my baby's first diaper.
Good luck Lindsay! It looks like you have everything ready and rearing to go for potty training. I look forward to future posts about your successes with Garrett :)
Best of luck! I'm still struggling to potty-train Ben, and he's over three years old now. You look very prepared! My only piece of advice is this: patience.
One of the reasons I'm glad I'm not yet married or have children. Good luck!
Good luck! We're still working on it...ugh. Hoping Grandma's visit will help us get on track again!
You sound like someone embarking on an expedition to Everest or something! :) You can do it. Slow and steady and patient wins the race. We started training for real at right around Garrett's age with Patrick and although there were definately steps forward and back, he was pretty much day and night trained by 3. Maybe 3 and a couple of months. Something like that.
Good luck!
We dabbled a little here and there in the last couple months but didn't start in earnest until this week. The thing that was really our breakthrough was "naked bum" time. I don't know why it works but, it does! Good luck!
I am terrified to do that! good luck!
Good luck! You can do it! I am really impressed with the arsenal. Maybe I'd have had better luck if I'd prepared with all that . . .
Good Luck Lindsay!! I hate potty training. Can't wait to hear about it...
Oh. My. Gosh. The dreaded potty chair. Ugh. I am not a fan of the potty training process. You seem well prepared, both with all your arsenal products and mentally. I wish you and Garrett the very best of luck!!
Good luck. We've been dabbling with potty training this week and it's been going pretty well so far. Kate's doing well with taking it slowly - we've been doing half days and she's always relieved to put a diaper back on, even after some successes.
A piece of advice - be cautious of how much fruit and juice you give him. It's much better to clean up poop that's nice and firm and solid. :)
Wow good luck. Sounds like you'll be staying close to home on all of your adventures for awhile...or taking extra sets of clothes and plastic bags with you where ever you go. Are you giving up on diapers for nap and bedtime too?
Looks like you have everything you need, hopefully he's ready too and this can be another successful milestone.
I believe the worse part is cleaning #2 out of strange places, yes my son did it every where but the toilet for a while, thank goodness it passed and we have a wonderful potty user now, our next step is going through the night without a pull up, not ready for that one yet.
