when tyler came to town

A business trip brought my brother, Tyler, to the East Coast, and since he was in the area (if you can can call D.C. "in the area"), he came to New York to spend the weekend with us. On Saturday we met up with our long-time friend, Gabriel, who is in the city this summer completing some internships, for a bit of fun in Brooklyn with the hope that we could convince them both that Brooklyn is the better borough. Our tour was mostly edible, with stops at Brooklyn Farmacy (chocolate egg creams) and L & B Spumoni Gardens (Sicilian pizza), but was also a little equine in nature, with a ride on Jane's Carousel on the pier at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

We were unable to persuade either of them to move to Brooklyn permanently (and for a variety of reasons, I can't really blame them), but they had a great time. In fact, we all did.
