11 - days Grandma Nancy spent with us in Brooklyn.
2 - visits each to Paper Source and Paper Presentation.
2 - visits to Fishs Eddy where
3 - lovely plates to add to my collection were purchased.
1- trip (by car, not bus!) to New Jersey, requiring a total of
4 - bridge crossings, which cost an astronomical
25 - dollars round trip to do.
5 - relatives visited while in the Garden State for
1 - Memorial Day barbeque and dip in the neighborhood lake where
2 - pale, blond little boys took to the water like fish (even Caleb, who this year finally realized the merits of water recreation on hot summer days).
1 - diagnosis of infant acid reflux, requiring
3 - daily doses of an antacid, creating
1 - much happier baby Matthew who suddenly started demonstrating
dozens - of attempts to start smiling, in spite of himself.
1 - birthday celebrated (by Grandma), which meant we made and consumed
1 - delicious gateau au chocolat. (Thanks, Deborah, for the recipe!)
1 - attempt to win lottery tickets to see Newsies on Broadway.
0 - tickets won (bummer), resulting instead on
1- table for
2 - at Penelope (yummers).
20 (give or take) - times we watched the new trailer for the film adaptation of the musical Les Miserables.
3 - times we sat down in front of YouTube to swoon over the awesomeness of Hugh Jackman, who will be playing Jean Valjean.
6 - long months until its theater release.
6 - days of sweltering humidity where we wished we'd had the foresight to have already installed our
2 - a/c units, followed by
5 - days of much cooler, much lovelier, and, occasionally, much rainier weather.
99(+) - awesome photos snapped by our friend, Adam, of Matthew and our now bigger family.
1- beautiful baby blessing.
2 - good-byes --
1 - to Emily, and
1 - to Mom when her visit sadly had to come to an end. Only
5 - more months until we get to see her again for her annual October visit to Brooklyn.
