They were a long time coming, but Matthew's social smiles are finally here! They arrived right on target for a baby of his gestational age, which, due to his premature birth, was about a month later than they typically appear in a full-term baby. It was hard to wait for them, and I am overjoyed (and slightly relieved) whenever he gives me that grin. He mostly only smiles when I change him, which says a great deal about just how much he loves a clean diaper, and there's something about them that make him look even more like his brothers than he already did. They certainly brighten my day as much as they brighten his face.
