The most hilarious things have been coming out of both boys' mouths lately. Maybe they'll make you laugh, too.
(Updated February 19th to include one more gem from Garrett.)
Caleb, after stuffing a pretzel into his mouth and gobbling it up loudly, said in his best Sesame Street impression: "I Cookie Monster!"
***
"You know what I need?" Garrett asked me in his most serious tone at lunch today. "I need to go to a playground."
***
"Mom, today at school I told Sofia somefing," Garrett said casually as we walked to the playground he so desperately needed to visit. "I told Sofia 'I love you.'"
"And what did she say to you?" I asked.
"She said, 'I love you, too.'"
***
After I entered the kitchen when Caleb apparently wanted to be there alone, he yelled at me to, "Go away!" And then, as if to punctuate his desires, he pushed me over the threshold as he said with increasing intensity, "Shoo! Shoo! SHOO!"
***
"Mom, I have a booger," Caleb told me as he tried to force MY finger into his nose to deal with it.
***
As we settle into our meal as a family, Garrett decides to strike up the casual table talk with this bit, stated in all seriousness: "So, Mom, I really want to go see the lantrins for my birthday. You fink we do that?"
Someone has apparently seen Tangled a few too many times...
