haircuts on my mind

Yesterday my friend, Christy, came over and gave my boys' hair a much needed trim. Garrett (also known as Stick Boy) was getting shaggy and Caleb was sporting a look reminiscent of the British Invasion trend, which wouldn't have been so bad except for the fact that his last haircut was poorly done and consequently was growing out uneven and weird.

They both look so much better now. And you know what else is great? These haircuts happened in my kitchen, which was not only easier for me, but it was apparently an environment so welcome to Caleb that he actually held still and did not scream when it was his turn. Thank you so much, Christy!

Before she left, I asked Christy for her professional opinion on something I've been considering for a long time now. For the last year and a half I've been attempting to grow my hair out. But even though a part of me believes that blondes should wear their hair long, most of me is, and probably always will be, a short hair kind of girl. Several months ago when I saw Ramona and Beezus for the first time, I sort of fell in love with Aunt Bea's hairstyle and silently vowed that when I decided to cut my hair again, that was how I'd do it. Christy agreed that not only did it look cute, but that it would work with my hair. And so I'm seriously considering it. What do you think?

Do it! I think it would be adorable. I need my hair cut, too. So badly. But I can't figure out a hairstyle that is cute but I don't actually have to do anything to it...Imagine that. ;)

You should do it. I think it would be great. And let's be honest, if it is really bad, it'll grow out. It's hair. But I think it would be cute.

I think you should go for it. I loved her hair and I think it would look great on you too! Thankfully hair always grows if you don't like it. :)

That's a super cute cut. I say go for it. How long does it take to grow hair, anyways? :)

So cute. I loved her hair in that movie too.
I'm curious about this "rule" that blondes should have long hair. Is that a thing, or just your thing? :)

That being said, it might be kind of fun to put some lowlights into your hair if you go short, just to add dimension. (I say this as one who has not highlighted my hair in YEARS (pre-children) but I still think it would be cute if you were up for the maintainance!)

Super cute haircut, but I think I like the long blond locks. Maybe not practical, huh?

So, it sounds like you already have about 50 votes to do it, but I'll add in my 2 cents anyways. I think it would be adorable! I wish I could pull something like that off, but I don't think I could. Great movie, by the way!

Do it! Do it! Do it!

I've always wanted to try that cut. But I'm way too chicken. So I'll live vicariously through you.

Do it! Do it! Do it!
