just another day at the doctor

3 little boys;
1 tiny exam room;
1 hour-long wait for the doctor, who got stuck in traffic, to finally arrive;
1 dramatic meltdown in the meantime;
3 routine vaccines;
3 flu shots;
3 now screaming little boys.

The math isn't pretty, but somehow it adds up to three boys who will hopefully avoid the flu this winter and a healthy 6 1/2-month-old.

Matthew's well check-up was a little delayed because of the hurricane, but that actually turned out to be for best because we also came away with a prescription for an antibiotic to treat a possible sinus infection. But other than that, he's growing just fine and getting really big by doing so. He's starting to sit with support and his hand-mouth coordination is impeccable.

Here are a few more numbers to add to this visit's equation:

Matthew, age 6 1/2 months
Length: 27 inches
Weight: 18 lbs

Adorable boy. I remember those days when all three would have a meltdown in the doctor's office. At least now they have the decorum to save it for home. :)
